Chocolate and wine Pairing – Session II White & Red Wine with the Oranji Pocket chocolate bar
In our last session, session I, we pairing red wine with the Peppa Pocket chocolate bar. This session we’re opening up the gamut by not only pairing a red wine but also a white with the oranji pocket chocolate bar. This versatile and very flavourful bar is perfect for both wines, red and white as it plays off the natural fruity notes of many wines. The dark chocolate being the perfect pairing option as it is a semi sweet and not overly bitter or to sweet and blends well with the orange and goji berries.
So what makes this bar so great with red wine? the smooth dark semi sweet Belgian chocolate makes for a great vehicle to pair with red wine on it’s own but add the citrus of orange and the slight bitterness of goji berries it’s very complementary to a Syrah or Pinot Noir. But it doesn’t have to be either of these two wines, pick your favorite and give it a try. You will find the combination of citrus and goji brings out much of the natural earthy flavors and florals. It’s a lovely surprise.
Much of the same reasons for pairing with red goes for white wine as the crisp floral or fruit forward wines pair exceptionally well with this pocket chocolate bar. We highly recommend you give this one a try. Create a pairing party with friends and family or simply try it on your own. It’s a taste experience you’ll want to share.
